JEKP has been published noncommercially since early 2010 in printed version and frequently published twice a year, June and December. And in mid 2016, this journal is going to implement an electronically accessed journal system management. The theme is consistently related to economic issue and government policies, whether in local, national, and international scope. This journal specifically provides scientific support to the Parliament Members and contributes academic benefits to researchers.

JEKP gets the national accreditation from Indonesian Institute of Sciences since September 2013. Since then, many writers from goverment, university, and non-government institution have been contributing to this journal.
